THE BENEFITS FOR OUR PATIENTS
Being able to fill our own oxygen cylinders does offer some true advantages for our patients. Most providers rent their cylinders from a large gas company that makes weekly, and in some cases monthly, deliveries. Even those companies that own their own cylinders still usually have to sent them away to be filled. This greatly restricts the amount of cylinders they can have on hand. This in turn is why most providers limit the amount of portable cylinders that a patient is allowed to have on hand. However, here at GoodCare we own all of our own portable cylinders and most of our back-up cylinders. Not only do we own our own cylinders, we fill them ourselves. This allows us much more freedom to work with the patient to insure that they are able to receive the number of cylinders they need to maintain their mobility and personal freedom. Being on oxygen should not be restrictive to your lifestyle, and at GoodCare we do everything we can to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Other Options
For the active patient who requires oxygen therapy out of the house and wishes to independly manage the oxygen supply, GoodCare offers several options:
Invacare Homefill
The Invacare Homefill Oxygen Compressor is a complete home oxygen system which allows patients to fill their own high pressure cylinders from a concentrator. The Home Fill is a multi-stage pump that simply and safely compresses oxygen from a specially equipped Invacare 5-liter or 10-liter concentrator into oxygen cylinders. This allows the patient to manage filling their own protable cylinders on their own schedule and frees them from depending on an oxygen provider delivery schedule.
