SLEEP THERAPY EQUIPMENT

The field of sleep disorders has become, probably, the next frontier in respiratory care. Treatment for the most common diagnosis – obstructive sleep apnea – is generally treated with a CPAP device – Continuous Positive Airway Pressure. There are indications for treatment by a bi-level (BiPAP) device for patients who cannot tolerate a constant pressure. GOODCARE by CPCI provides both types of units as requested.

For more complicated sleep disorders, or for treatment of respiratory complications of neurologic diseases such as ALS, or for treatment of end-stage chronic lung disease, non-invasive pressure support ventilators or bi-level devices are frequently indicated. GOODCARE by CPCI is very comfortable providing these units combined with clinical services as indicated.

Non-invasive application of these devices is made by use of nasal or oronasal masks with appropriate headgear. GOODCARE by CPCI carries an extensive inventory of the most commonly used masks and accessories. We specialize in very personalized service and fitting to optimize the client’s compliance with and tolerance of the ordered therapy.

GOODCARE by CPCI has a quite structured and comprehensive protocol for all initial referrals of clients requiring sleep therapy equipment. Very intensive follow-up is provided to all clients – particularly for the initial three months – and longer if necessary, to achieve appropriate compliance with ordered therapy.

		BiPAP® AVAPS™ BiPAP AVAPS is Respironics' newest noninvasive ventilator for home use, and features AVAPS (Average Volume Assured Pressure Support) technology. The AVAPS algorithm guarantees an average tidal volume by automatically adapting pressure support to meet the patient's needs on a breath-by-breath basis. AVAPS achieves this by estimating the patient's tidal volume over several breaths and calculating the change in pressure needed to achieve the target tidal volume.

		BiPAP® Auto BiPAP® Auto with Bi-Flex® is the first auto-adjusting bi-level positive airway pressure system for adults with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
